Benbrook Electricians Who Start With What Came Before
Most electrical problems in an older house trace back to something done years ago: a splice buried in a wall, a breaker swapped for a bigger one, an outlet that looks grounded but isn't. We find those first, explain what they mean, then fix your home properly.

Why We Look Before We Recommend Anything
A house collects electrical work over the decades. One owner adds a ceiling fan, another finishes out the garage, someone swaps two-prong outlets for three-prong receptacles on a circuit that never had a ground wire. Each change may have made sense at the time. Together they leave a system nobody has a full picture of.
So our visits start with testing, not guessing. We open the panel and look for double-tapped breakers, heat discoloration on the bus bar and aluminum conductors landed on terminals not rated for them. We check receptacles for reversed polarity and bootleg grounds, where a jumper fakes a ground that isn't there. We follow suspect circuits to find splices sitting loose in a wall cavity instead of inside a junction box. You see what we see, with photos where it helps.
Then we tell you plainly which findings are a safety concern now, which can wait, and which are simply old but still sound. Some problems come down to one loose neutral. Others point toward a panel upgrade or whole-home rewiring. We give you the reason behind each recommendation, so the decision stays yours.

How We Handle the Work
Trace the fault before replacing parts
Tripping breakers and flickering lights have causes. We find the actual one, whether it's a worn breaker, an overloaded circuit or a backstabbed receptacle that has loosened from years of heat cycling, before suggesting anything new.
Keep what still works
Older wiring is not automatically bad. Copper that was installed well and is still in good condition can keep serving you, and we'll say so instead of pushing a rewire you don't need.
Explain the code, not just cite it
When we recommend GFCI protection near water, AFCI breakers for bedrooms or a true equipment ground, we tell you what each one protects against. Permits and inspections are handled as required by your local jurisdiction.
Careful access, clean exit
If a wall has to be opened, we mark the spot and explain why first, and the hole stays sized to the work inside it. Drop cloths go down in work areas. Removed breakers, scrap wire and old fixtures go out with us, whether we worked indoors or outside at the meter.
Where We Work
We're based in Benbrook, TX, and work on homes across the surrounding area, including White Settlement, Fort Worth, Crowley, River Oaks, Aledo, Sansom Park, Lake Worth, Edgecliff Village, Westworth Village and Burleson. The approach is the same in each one: test first, explain the findings, then do the work you approve. That applies to everything on our Services page, from electrical repair and torque and cleans to EV charger installation and generator work.
